Sourcing a double-column DR system is not a one-off purchase. For a distributor, the supplier behind the machine determines whether you can support your clinic customers for the next five to ten years — or whether you spend the next year chasing spare parts and unanswered emails. Before you commit, run these six checks.
1. Factory or trader? Verify it, don’t assume it.
Ask for the business license and a short workshop video — not a stock photo gallery. A genuine manufacturer can show you the production floor, the assembly line, and the testing bench on request. Weifang Newheek has manufactured X-ray machines and accessories for over 20 years, and we share workshop footage with serious distributors before any order is placed.
2. Certifications: know which applies to which product.
ISO 13485 is the baseline for medical device manufacturing. For CE and RoHS, confirm exactly which product lines are covered — a certificate for collimators or hand switches does not automatically extend to a full DR system. At Newheek, CE and RoHS cover our collimators, hand switches, HV cables, and image intensifiers; ask for the certificate scope document, not just a logo on a website.
3. Real specs and installation drawings — before you promise a room layout.
Fixed column 2240 mm, moving column 2390 mm, table 725 × 2015 mm: these numbers matter only if they match the clinic’s actual room. Request dimensioned installation drawings and a site-preparation checklist before you quote your customer. A supplier who hesitates to send drawings is telling you something.
4. Full-line supply reduces interface risk.
When detector, collimator, table, stands, and hand switches come from one factory, interface mismatches and “not our part” blame-shifting disappear. Ask which components the supplier makes in-house and which are sourced — the answer tells you how much control they have over quality and lead time.
5. OEM and after-sales support — get it in writing.
Private label, spare parts availability, and remote installation guidance should be confirmed in the contract, not in a chat message. Ask for a sample OEM agreement and a spare parts price list with lead times. Distributors who skip this step are the ones who discover the gap after the first warranty claim.
6. Export record you can cross-check.
“Ships to 100+ countries” is a claim; a list of reference markets and trade show participation is evidence. Newheek exhibits at CMEF and exports to over 100 countries — ask us for references in your region, and we will connect you with distributors who already handle our equipment.
A supplier that passes all six checks deserves a trial order. We built this checklist around the questions our own distributors ask — and we are confident we pass. If you want to run the checks against us, start with the NK501 double-column DR product page, or send your end-customer’s facility type and we will recommend the right configuration.

If you want to run these six checks against us, start here:
Request the NK501 specification pack and installation drawings — use the inquiry form on the [NK501 double-column DR product page], and mention which check matters most to you.
Send your end-customer‘s facility type (clinic size, daily patient volume, room dimensions) — our engineers will recommend the 30kW or 50kW configuration and reply within 24 hours.
