Brief introduction of X ray image intensifier

The first practical X-ray image intensifier was produced by Holland PHILPS in 1952. Its appearance can be regarded as a milestone in the field of X imaging. X light is an invisible light. Due to its physical properties, its initial use depends on the purpose of imaging a compound that is sensitive to X light and stimulated by it to produce fluorescence. Therefore, if the corresponding protection is not done, the operator will be damaged by the radiation of X light in varying degrees. At the same time, if the radiation dose is too large, the radiation damage can also be caused to the human body. For this reason, people are actively looking for ways to reduce radiation doses and keep operators away from radiation. So, the X-ray image intensifier came into being.

The principle of X-ray image intensifier is realized by using the principle of Physical Electronics and optics. In a simple way, the X light penetrates the image formed after the object to be illuminated to the receiver of the intensifier, thereby stimulating the receiving end of the intensifier to produce a faint visible light image. The light generated by this image is also excited by the photocathode to produce escape electrons. The generated electrons are accelerated to the image output end of the intensifier under the action of the high voltage electric field. Under the dual action of electronic and accelerating convergence, the screen of the image output terminal of the intensifier is excited to generate visible images with enough brightness. The brightness of the image generated by the output screen is enough to make the electronic camera photosensitive, so as to realize the conversion of the X optical signal to the visible signal to the electrical signal. An electronic image converted to a light signal can be processed and transmitted to a remote place by a video camera to be watched by a monitor, and the isolation of the man and machine is realized so that the operator is far away from the radiation. At the same time, due to the principle of electronic acceleration of the intensifier, the brightness of the image can be further enhanced, and the radiation dose of the examiner is greatly reduced, and the purpose of reducing radiation damage is achieved.

X-ray intensifier, camera and monitor constitute three systems called X-ray intensifier TV system. The advantage of using the intensifier TV system for medical X optical machine is obvious. First, the X optical machine is installed in this system. It can easily realize the compartment operation, protect the operator from the radiation damage of the X-ray and reduce the radiation dose of the examiner. Secondly, it can be realized, and it can get rid of the original dark room environment and improve In addition, because of the inherent characteristics of the TV signal, it can be easily recorded and preserved, convenient for expert consultation and teaching reference, and so on.
