Composition of image intensifier tube.

Image intensifier tube is the core component of image intensifier. Its structure is to encapsulate input screen, focus electrode, acceleration electrode, output screen and ion pump in the vacuum glass shell.

The function of the input screen of image intensifier tube is to convert X-ray into electronic image. The structure is spherical and consists of five layers: surface glass, aluminum substrate, fluorescent layer, isolation layer and photocathode.

Electrostatic lens can focus the electron beam. The function of the output screen is to convert the enhanced electronic image into visible light image.
