Recently, a customer called and said that he bought an X-ray machine for medical diagnosis in our company in March this year. The customer said that they are a private maternal and child health care hospital. They want to know what kind of image this device will cause to pregnant women and children. The X-ray machine radiation is low and will not cause too much impact.
A radiograph of the pelvic region of a pregnant woman exposed both the patient’s gonads and the entire fetus. Radiation to unborn fetuses increases the risk of physical effects on infants, and also increases the risk of genetic effects in subsequent generations. Therefore, all efforts should be made to avoid unnecessary exposure to any known or potential pregnant woman.
